A skill set called leadership

There are leaders and there are followers. Having good leadership skills is what creates the difference between the two. Many people believe a strong leader is born and not made. I do not necessarily believe this is the case. The same with many other things, educating yourself to become a great leader or a person with great leadership skills takes time, energy and commitment. A leader is a person who has strong principles, courage and dedication. They will go the extra mile to ensure success.

In a business it is essential for a person to have leadership skills to succeed at an executive level. Developing a powerful vision, building a strong team and bringing out the best in those you lead are important aspects to always keep in mind. Great leaders encourage their followers and know how to take control without loosing control.

People will follow a great leader because they represent the beliefs of the group. The followers often provide support for the team to advance and succeed in achieving their goals. A leader with good leadership skills will recognise and reward their team for their great effort.
